Ambilmar Cabin was established in 1997, built of wood from the mountain.  It took almost a year to cut, mill and dry. Poplar, pine and hickory were some of the types used in the construction.

It sits on 12 acres adjacent to the Cherokee National Forest.

The cabin sleeps eight (8). It has two bedrooms, one upstairs with two beds and one downstairs. Also the living room couch is a sleeper sofa. They are all queen size.

The gas fireplace was made of Tennessee fieldstone and constructed by Mitchell Tipton of Blue Ridge, Georgia. The mantle is a solid piece of hickory finished by a local craftsman. It gives the whole cabin a sense of warmth.
The cabin has a deck on all 4 sides, and a front porch swing that over looks the creek.

An elderly lady in Farner, Tennessee did the quilt hanging in the dining room. The Covered bridge tapestry hanging over the couch came from Amish country in Ohio.  Amish girls in Indiana made the quilted pillows.
